Abstract

Since October 1992, permits to discharge storm water have been required by provisions of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). This requirement affects most industrial facilities and construction projects, and some municipalities in the U.S. Proposals by the EPA will allow this program to affect many more construction sites and municipalities. This book helps explain these requirements (EPA and state) for storm water discharge permits.
