The Seatrade U.S. Yearbook 1979 is the first publication of its kind to draw together the various elements of maritime transport activity in the US in a comprehensive blend of fact and analysis. The completion of the 1979 edition has taken about a year of research, and the Editor, Colin Morrison, has travelled literally the length and breadth of the US, gathering information and comment. The Yearbook is designed to provide both a complete reference source on maritime affairs and an up-to-date analysis of pressures, problems and performance in each of the key areas, with emphasis on the shaping of maritime policy. It should be of value to the user as much as to the provider of shipping services, and also to those whose business it is to finance, insure, build, repair, load or equip ships, both inside and outside the US.
