A study on the geographic distribution of the digenetic trematodes of the shallow water fishes in the Gulf of Mexico determine, if possible, whether a correlation between this distribution and known geographic phenomena does exist. A short study of the trematodes of the Bahama Islands, whose trematodes fauna was previously completely unknown, has been included for comparison with the Gulf of Mexico.
