Webless migratory game birds use almost every conceivable habitat type, thus they can serve as barometers of ecosystem health throughout the continent. Additionally, they are appreciated and studied by scientists, bird watchers, and general nature enthusiasts. Migratory shore and upland game birds can be the common threads that link the different ecosystems and the many user groups. Thi information provided in this book, and attention to the recommendations offered, will put us in good stead to manage migratory shore and upland game birds well into the next century.
