Abstract
While studying the biology of East Lagoon, in the northeastern end of Galveston Island, Texas, attention was given to the spawning habits of Mugil cephalus. A cruise offshore confirmed suspicions that mullet breed beyond the range of tides and currents in nearshore habitats.
