Abstract

This chapter is a summary of all topics discussed in this book Galveston Bay: Issues, resources, status, and management. Proceedings of a seminar held March 14, 1988 in Washington, D.C. . The definition of the general characteristics of an estuary of national significance, the special characteristics of the Galveston Bay, and the research needs of Galveston Bay are all topics discussed in this conclusion.
