| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this investigation is to develop a management program for the oyster resources in Galveston Bay. Most of the time has been devoted to a survey of the major oyster reefs to determine their condition and extent. Information on the spawning and setting of the oyster has been gathered although no intensive work has, as yet, been done. The distribution of the parasite, Dermocystidium marinum, has been studied with the aid of Mr. Sammy Ray of Rice Institute. | en |
