The Workshop has three purposes: (1) To produce a document useful to legislators, managers, scientists, fishermen and others in understanding the need for and uses of fisheries statistcs. (2) To provide the basis for developing efficient and effective systems for fisheries data. (3) To provide specific recommendations for achieving appropriate Bay-wide statistical programs.
