Juvenile and Adult Food and Game Fish of the Laguna Madre

Juvenile game fish were sampled with 60-foot bag seine and adult fish with a 1200-foot trammel net. In the Upper Laguna Madre juvenile fish sampling was conducted in 1969 from January through June, then discontinued for the remainder of the year. In 1970 sampling was conducted throughout the year except for February and May- In the Lower Laguna Madre sampling was done in 1969 from January through May, then discontinued until November 1969 and continued through May 1970. Adult fish sampling in the Lower Laguna Madre was conducted in the spring and fall of both 1969 and 1970. Results obtained were used to derive population trends.
