This workshop is intended to present a historical perspective on the emergence of the Houston Ship Channel, its past and current status of environmental quality, and its role in enhancing economic growth in Houston. The focus of the workshop is on the emerging issues related to the Ship Channel and on the new paradigm in solving environmental problems - partnership, collaboration and dialogue between all stakeholders.
