Abstract
This document serves to summarize past and ongoing activities of Federal agencies to assess and control the introduction of man-made debris into the aquatic environment. It can be used to coordinate and build multiagency programs focused on this problem. The EPA and other Federal, state, and local agencies can also use this document to develop action plans and aid in the development of guidance for planning, setting priorities, and focusing resources on other programs.
