Abstract

The objective of this study was to test the adequacy of Phase I and Phase II channels for two-way traffic using the design ships proposed by the U.S. Army Engineer District, Galveston. The primary objective of most of the simulator tests was ship meeting and passing. The simulations were designed to determine the optimum two-way traffic condition for the proposed channels by testing various combinations of channel dimensions and ship draft and size.
