Abstract

Houston Lighting & Power Company (HL&P) instituted an in-house study of revolving screen entrainment and impingement at the Webster Generating Station in Webster, Harris County, Texas, in order to fulfill requrements of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended. The program began on 8 December 1977 and continued through 28 November 1978, with samples being collected every two weeks during this period. Environmental Protection Department personnel of HL&P performed entrainment and impingement sampling, identification, data analysis and reporting on all samples collected.
