Abstract

The Nature Conservancy describes their policy and beliefs. They believe in three major policies that they base their organization on: good science, cooperation rather than confrontation, and partnership. The Nature Conservancy offers a way for companies to meet their economic objectives while maintaining environmental objectives. They help oil companies extract oil without threatening the habitat of endangered species. This video looks at various examples of the interrelation of industry and the environment, such as Disney Wilderness Preserve in Florida, created in cooperation with the Nature Conservancy; recycling and environmental cleanup in Louisiana; recycling at Walt Disney World in Florida; and the General Motors Saturn plant in Tennessee.
