Abstract

Penaeus aztecus post larvae acclimated at three temperatures (24, 29, and 34C) were tested for thermal resistance at five lethal temperatures for each acclimation temperature (34-38C; 35-39C; and 36-40C). Penaeus setiferus post-larvae acclimated at two temperatures (20 and 34C) were tested for thermal resistence at six lethal temperatures for each acclimation temperature (35-40C; 36-41C). The temperature which causes 50% mortality 10,000 minutes was between 35 and 36C for postlarvae acclimated at 24C and between 36 and 37C for those acclimated at 29 and 34C.
