Abstract

This brochure describes programs and practices of the Texas General Land Office that safeguard the renewable natural resources in Texas public lands - submerged lands in bays and the Gulf of Mexico, bordering wetlands and beaches, forests, and brush country. The land-use decisions we make today will affect the vitality of coastal fisheries, the survival of wildlife populations, the productivity of the land itself, and the quality of the environment for human inhabitants.
