Development and Application of a Hydrodynamic Model of the Lavaca and Guadalupe Deltaic Systems - DRAFT

Abstract

It is the hydrodynamic modeling that will be discussed in this report. A description is presented of the one-dimensional section-mean model, and applications of the model to simulate the hydrodynamics of the Guadalupe and Lavaca Deltas are reported. These simulations are of historic periods containing a variety of tidal, wind and streamflow conditions. The results of the model simulations were verified against tidal records from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) tide gauges, supplemented with additional water elevations from the TWDB and velocities measured by EH&A.
