Environmental, Economic and Political Factors in Land Use Decision Making: Applications for the Texas Coastal Zone Management Program

Abstract

This report...suggests an approach for identifying land uses which have a direct impact on coastal waters as well as a procedure for measuring the impact. It suggests a definition of areas of particular concern and offers and approach to identifying and designating them. It gives examples in Chambers County, which is a rural coastal county adjacent to the Houston metropolitan area.
