Importing Fuels and Petrochemical Raw Materials for Texas

This report documents the final findings of a study conducted for the Governor's Energy Advisory Council. The material presented in the final report supersedes any similar material contained in the Interim Report. This report is an amplification of some of the topics covered in the Interim Report with additional topics primarily concerning methods of coal conversion and importation to Texas. This final report is divided into nine chapters. Each chapter discusses a particular aspect of the future of imported coal, coal conversion, or mode of transportation. The final chapter presents an economic comparison of the different modes of transporting imported coal to Texas.
