Courtenay and Robins focus on procedures that govern introductions of fish and examine how these guidelines have been changed, augmented, or ignored by those who have introduced or who plan to introduce nonnative fish. Procedures put forth by the American Fisheries Society have been widely ignored leading to inconsistent results in dealing with invasive species.
