Abstract
This article investigates the spawning and larval stages of the grass carp in the lower Mississippi River. Larvae found in Arkansas, Louisiana, and in the lower Mississippi River have been identified as exotic grass carp. This confirms the predications made by Stanley (1976) and Stanley et al. (1978) that natural reproduction of the grass carp would occur in the United States.
