Abstract

This presentation reports on the sixth biennial Texaswide attitude survey, completed in January 2001, tracking the evolution since 1990 of public attitudes across a wide array of environmental measures. Particular attention will be paid to findings from the additional over sample interviews conducted since 1996 in the five counties surrounding Galveston Bay, that explore systematically the continuities and changes in area residents' assessments of Bay quality and in their understanding of the sources of Bay pollution.
