Abstract

Phase I Report represents initial results of a 12 month investigation of current water resources in the Southeast Area. It examines short and long term water needs, evaluates strategies for reducing demands through conservation, increasing water supplies through water resource management and supply development, transferring of water to areas of potential shortage from areas of abundance. Also evaluated in this study are the alternatives in terms of technical feasibility, cost, and environmental acceptability. This report recommends a conceptual plan for further study in Phase II of this program. The focus of this report is to summarize the data and analysis that was conducted during Phase I and to solicit input and comments to guide the program into Phase II.
