Abstract

This document is intended as a supplement to Chapter VI in The Galveston Bay Plan, providing a technical and practical rationale for future Galveston Bay Monitoring activites. The report does not attempt to provide ultimate detail for the Monitoring Program, but serves as a framework from which a comprehensive monitoring program will be implemented. This report is designed to address two types of monitoring efforts: programmatic and environmental. Programmatic monitoring addresses questions such as: Are the goals and objectives set forth in the Plan being met? Environmental monitoring attempts to answer broader questions such as: Is the health of the ecosystem improving?
