The U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (WES) Hydraulics Laboratory (HL) has developed a three-dimensional (3D) hydrodynamic model of Galveston Bay for the Houston- Galveston Navigation channels, Texas project, in cooperation with the U.S. Army Engineer District, Galveston. The model used is RMA10-WES, which is one of a suite of models known collectively as the TABS-MD system. The 3D model is capable of computing water velocity, circulation patterns, salinity gradients, and water levels for the entire Bay system.en_US
