Abstract

A summary of the results of a Contingent Valuation survey designed to estimate the economic value of improving the environmental quality of Galveston Bay is presented. The mail-only survey and the mail/in-person follow-up survey were two separate surveys administered to residents of the five-county area surrounding the bay to assess the two recommendations made by the NOAA panel established to review the reliability and validity of the Contingent Valuation Method
