Abstract

If marsh and terrestrial community development on Bolivar Peninsula is successful, the area will experience a desirable increase in fish and wildlife habitat and productivity. The following article describes the habitat development site on Bolivar Peninsula, Galveston Bay, Texas. The site is one of several where the dredged Material Research Program (DMRP) seeks to identify the mechanisms of marsh and upland habitat establishment on a substrate of dredged material. Site preparation is important prior to planting vegetation
