Abstract

This book was prepared as part of the Day on the Bay Cruise Program, a sea-going educational experience funded by the National Sea Grant Program. The program offers a 7 hour cruise which samples the waters and life forms of the Gulf of Mexico and the estuarine systems of the Texas coast. The cruises are operated from the Freeport, Texas area which has provided the program with genuine public interest and support. The book offers sections on: coastal ecology, life in coastal waters, field equipment, analytical procedures, data collection, and an appendix containing a glossary, references and a conversion table
