Abstract

This manual is intended to provide the reader with enough information to use the Galveston Bay Project (GBP) BOD and DO models. A detailed description of the actual computer programming logic is by no means provided here; however, a computer program listing is included for the reader's perusal. A detailed explanation of the pertinent equations is to be found in the TRACOR, Inc. report entitled, Galveston Bay Project, Water Quality Modeling and Data Management, Phase II Technical Progress Report, July, 1971 (chapters 6, 7, and 10)[1]. This report includes data concerning the use and form of finite-difference equations used in the mathematical modeling. This user's manual provides the following: a) program descriptions - what each subprogram and subroutine does, b) description of inputs, c) an example problem with typical input and output, d) special comments and advice to the user, and e) program listings. All of the programs connected with the BOD and DO modeling are presently operating on the UNIVAC 1108 computer.
