Abstract
A mathematical model has been developed in order to predict variations that may occur in selected physico-chemical parameters over diel cycles. The model consisted of three interrelated segments; a model to predict variations in temperature distributions and mixing regimes; a segment to predict variation in the distributions of pH and dissolved oxygen; and, a segment to predict distributions of zinc among species and surfaces. The model was based upon a vertical segmentation of constant geometry.
