Abstract

The main purpose of this investigation was to determine if the water management scheme proposed by Houston Lighting and Power Co. for the revised operation of its Cedar Bayou Generating Plant from 1500 to 5000 Mw will cause any significant detrimental effects upon the estuarine structure. All the data available was evaluated for what may be considered worst conditions. A secondary purpose was to point out the possibile beneficial aspects resulting from the proposed cooling pond treatment system.
