Water resources development by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Texas for 1973

This publication has been prepared in reponse to many and continuing inquiries concerning the activities of the Corps of Engineers in connection with the development of the water resources of the State of Texas. Several Division and District Engineers are responsible for the projects and activities of the Corps of Engineers. Corresponding division and district boundaries are shown on the fold-out map at the end of the book. This book presents information on the role of the Corps in plannning, constructing and operating projects for flood control, municipal and industrial water supply, recreation and other beneficial uses. It describes projects which are completed, underway or in the planning stages, each of which has been initiated under specific authorization by Congress. Both historical background information and long-term planning information is provided.
