Abstract
The Attwater's prairie chicken spring population census; utilizing three airplanes, one helicopter, and ground counts was completed March 23, 1974. The total Attwater's prairie chicken population was estimated to be 2,004 birds, and increase of 13.0 percent when compared to the 1973 census.
