Field Guide to the Snappers (Lutjanidae) of the Western Atlantic

Abstract

This field guide is intended to implement both field and laboratory identification of western Atlantic snapper. Eight genera and 27 species are considered. Illustrated keys are supplemented by tables giving the range of numbers of fin rays, lateral line scales and gill rakers.
