Abstract

The purposes of this report to the Governor and the 69th Legislature are to present the results of the Department programs for research and monitoring of three finfish species, to review Commission regulations and legislative acts for management of the finsfish resources, and to recommend procedures for improving the fishery. Trends in abundance and harvest of spotted seatrout, red drum, and black drum are presented since these are among the most economically important saltwater finfish species.
