Abstract
This report presents the results of a single experimental cross between a female Bufo houstonensis and a male B. valliceps and includes pertinent observations on the spawning season and ecology of a population of B. houstonensis living on the coastal prairie in Houston, Harris County, Texas. They spawn in the spring, following heavy rains in temporary rainwater pools.
